A letter from a Christmas Toy Drive Family
This email was received following our Toy Drive...
Dear Dan,
We were very surprised to come home Christmas Eve to find a bag hanging on our door with 5 awesome gifts for my 6 year old daughter. I dont know how you found out about us but I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart, with your donation and help from another family, I was able to have more items under the tree for my little girl. I am a single mom and I work on call so Christmas time is always a hard time of the year.
I am so sorry for your loss Dan, but I know Charlene is very proud of you. I never met Charlene, but I wish I had, it sounds like she was a great woman. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

A Creative Idea for Donations
Here's an example of how you can be creative with your donations. A long time friend of Charlene's asked her friends and family to donate money to the charity instead of gifts for her daughters 1st bday as she felt it was better to give. She raised just under 300 dollars for the charity!
Char was an old friend from high school days. Although we lost touch and connected briefly for a time prior to her passing I think of her often. As a mother it made me realize that I had to really not take any time for granted with my kids and with friends. Char will continue to touch those around her through this charity and it’s a wonderful cause to support, both to honour her memory and help other families experiencing loss. Thank you to my family and friends who generously donated to CRCCS.
